2024 vintage; consumed on 7/15/2025
Pours a viscous, motor-oil black body with no head to notes and only a slight, temporary ring of peanut-hued collar encircling the blank void of a surface.
Aroma introduces a touch of black cherry grazing an immense char overlay as bourbon detailing is revealed in waves and burnt toffee residuals rise to prominence.
Taste imparts black cherry, and burnt toffee, and touches of smoke levied evenly across the front of the profile, with dark cacao increasingly foundational as a left barrel char impresses heavily throughout.
Mouthfeel presents a thick, full body, sporting minimal carbonation and leaving a creamy texturing as mild barrel char builds across the palate into a slick, sticky warmth to close.
Waves of barrel excess form a firm, committed profile, yet with a clear ceiling; limited but satisfying.

bottle pour; thiccccc with minimal suggestion of a head. Nose has lots of barrel and RIS notes. Flavor is similar - lots of barrel, lots of RIS, but new school thicccc. Finish is appropriate for a BBA 14.1% stout.
