Iron Exchange Tavern & Brewery

Shares a wall in a strip mall off Hwy 12, but has large windows on two sides that let in good natural light. Shared parking lot out front. Central four sided square bar. Other seating at high and low tables and booths. High open dark metal ceiling, walls share brick and taupe paint, and a concrete floor. Clear view of brewing equipment through blue lit glass. Twelve taps for in house brewed beer, cider, and seltzer. Covers the bases, including a high test barleywine. Full liquor service. Full sit down restaurant food menu. Professional and welcoming staff. Cooler has cans to go. Suburban swanky restaurant vibe. Cool spot.

 

Last stop on a whirlwind Sunday brewery tour. The pizza was heavily sold too me by my bud but I was not so easily enthralled. The pizza is the selling point of the place. I would call it Detroit style. Good service, nice liquor, albeit poor man, alternatives to beer. Beer was average as nothing stood out. Odd that they don't open till 4 pm even on weekends.
