On tap at the new Ambler brewery. Spicy, very dry finish, hoppy for a Saison.

Twisted Gingers Brewing Co. "The Farmhouse"
16 fl. oz. can without production codes or freshness dating
$5 at the brewery
Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a hazy deep gold body beneath a finger's width of white foam that seems to be holding quite well. A fair amounf of medium-sized bubbles can be seen rising inside the glass. Good appearance so far. I'm getting sweetish, grainy and grassy malt in the aroma along with Belgian yeast notes of clove/bubblegum, sweet red berries, apple and pear, and delicate 'spiciness'. On to the taste... it's spicier than i thought it would be with a grassy and woody kind of coriander seed note. It's gently fruity, and surprisingly floral. A dusty earthiness and woody character rounds it out. A firm bitterness runs through it leaving it with a bone-dry finish amidst swirling earthiness, woodiness, and 'spiciness'. It's crisp, dry, and refreshing with a medium-light body and effervescent carbonation. I was really hoping that the head would hold up even better than it did, and that the lacing would be great but that just didn't happen. All in all this is a pretty damned good beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
