Can:
Looked almost clear coming from the can into the glass. As the body formed, though, there was a light haze within the pale straw body. The head didn't restrain the pour by threatening an overflow; its modest size, however, was countered by its persistence and fairly strong lacing.
Nose was a mix of pungency and sweet fruit as I opened/poured. The newly poured cold beer had less aromatics than expected immediately after that. Letting it warm, the generally tropical notes returned (Mosaic) with the initial pungent notes more subdued. Guava, pineapple, sweeter malt notes hit high, and a pithy citrus and lightly herbal bitterness throws a couple body punches.
Initial sips were dull, but again a little warmth is all that was necessary to improve things. Light bread cracker malt base with lemon-dipped pineapple and guava backing it. There's a near beer-sour note to these fruity notes. Behind the juice is a light Citra hop profile that helps close out the beer nicely. The "sour" tang feel blends into a nice, fairly clean, moderately dry balanced ending that gives up a little herbal bitterness in the aftertaste.
This beer went from promising to dull to satisfying in quick order. First impression rating was a notch lower, but letting the beer com into itself was rewarding.

CANNED ON 04/30/20 15:04 #BABY GOTBACK. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Slightly hazy gold hue with 1-2 fingers of off-white foamy head with average retention and skimpy lacing.
S: Inviting pineapple, guava, lime, mango, and soft melon with a solid underlying pale malt background.
T: Flavor is just as exceptional as the aroma with pineapple, honeydew, guava, mango, peach, and orange with medium fruity esters. Medium bitterness which gives this beer some edge. Delicious.
M: unbelievable drinkability with light-medium body, low-medium carbonation and smooth fairly dry finish.
O: Impressive beer with lowest ABV and in the "hybrid" IPA - feels more like a WCIPA but flavors of an NEIPA. Excellent beer.

A: Pours a lightly hazy pale to medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly along the edges of the glass and moderate pale yellow + brassy colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy soapy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a handful of small patches of thin film surrounded by a large patch of very slightly mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer with a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of juicy citrus/grapefruit + tropical/mango + citrus/orange + floral hops over the top of light aromas of biscuit + wheat + oat malts with minimal amounts of sugary sweetness.
T: Upfront there are light flavors of biscuit + wheat + oat malts with minimal amounts of sugary sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of juicy citrus/grapefruit + tropical/mango + citrus/orange + floral hops which impart a hint of bitterness which fades away almost instantly leaving moderate lingering citrus + floral hop flavors.
M: Light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp initially with a hint of soft/fluffiness mid-body and a light amount fo dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a light refreshing mouthfeel. Enjoyable and crushable - I could easily have a few of these. Great reward after a tough run in the heat + humidity.
