Appearance: Pours a prudently hazed, soften yellow body with a smallish, white head. Light lacing.
Smell: Supple florals, steel-toed gooseberry, lemon-lime citrus component with some tropical fruit touches touching on a bit of lychee. Creamy rustic grains beneath.
Taste: Sweetish, creamy rustic malts cushioned generously with wheat, with oats. With a burst of juicy acidity, turns sharply towards citrus, with a pairing of shaved lemon and glitzy lime. Gooseberry, lychee, a little twangy, follow. Minimally bitter. A bit of warming alcohol joins in for the fruity finish underscored by the milky grist bill.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation. Fairly smooth, slender mouthfeel.
Overall: A fine offering, brimming with all your favorite, go-to, current hop flavors, eschewing its bitterness and trading out for some (though not too much) contemporary haziness.
