“Most Likely Aliens” — a malt bomb inspired by Mexican hot chocolate with Cinnamon, Cacao Nibs, Cacao Husks, Nutmeg, Poblano Peppers, Vanilla Beans, and Lactose swimming around in a sneakily drinkable 9% ABV abyss of thicc Stout-y goodness. A double mash, extremely extended boil, complex sugar additions, and adjuncts out the wazoo render this an otherworldly stout.

My last of my small but choice DSSOLVR stash acquired last Christmas break.
Pours a very dark brown color with a great brown head and nice curtain lacing. Subdued smell but mostly dark chocolate. The poblano pepper is subtle but definitely there on the finish. Up front you have dark chocolate, coconut, vanilla and warm spices. This feels marvelous! Smooth and creamy.
I will look forward to returning to DSSOLVR one of these days!

A: Pours an opaque thick viscous jet black in color with light to moderate amounts of fine active visible carbonation rising along the edges of the glass and faint dark chestnut brown + cola brown colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense foamy dark tan head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thick film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of roasted + chocolate + caramel malts with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lactose + caramel sweetness. There are moderate aromas of vanilla, cacao nibs, chocolate, cinnamon, nutmeg, and poblano peppers (with just the slightest hint of spiciness).
T: Upfront there are moderate to strong flavors of roasted + chocolate + caramel malts with slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lactose + caramel sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavors of vanilla, cacao nibs, chocolate, cinnamon, nutmeg, and poblano peppers (with just the slightest hint of spiciness). Overall there is a sweet chocolate flavor that lingers well through the finish.
M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.
O: Drinks pretty easily considering the strength and the sweetness though it was more of a slow sipping dessert for me. Enjoyable with nice richly complex chocolate, spices (cinnamon + nutmeg), vanilla, and poblanos.
