The brewery calls it a Double Dry-Hopped India Pale Ale. It appears to be a NE IPA based on color and the heavy duty grapefruit aroma and taste, but this beer is even more!!! Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass, this beer looks like the classic NE IPA. Hazy dull yellow color, medium sized white foamy head. Good retention and plenty of thin rings of foamy lacing. Aroma and taste feature juicy grapefruit and tropical flavors, but wait!!!!! There's more!!!! This beer feature a robust bitterness too!! Between the bitter grapefruit flavor and the strong hoppiness, this beer is much more robust than your typical NE IPA!!! Tasty and bitter enough for any hophead!!!! Mouthfeel is crisp, bitter and a little harsh.....just right for a hophead that is getting jaded with so many mild NE IPA's. I really enjoyed this beer...my first from this brewery!!
