Certainly taking on a west coast lifestyle, everything is much more laid back. ...except for bitterness. Dssolvr embraces the mostly calm attitude while not backing away from the old school, bitter and more resinous hops.
Chocked full with Columbus, Amarillo, Centennial, Cascade and Simcoe hop varieals, The Hustle Is Dead pours reasonably haze and with a soft amber golden appearance. As its fruity, spicy and floral bouquet rises above its stark white foam, hints of hemp and citrus arise. Light sweetness glosses the tongue as its early malt profile is granola-like with hints of honey, bread crust and light nuttiness.
As the ale flows onto the middle palate the more fruity aspects of hops come with impressions of pink grapefruit, orange, pineapple and apricot especially as the early sweetness quickly begins to fade. As the fruitiness develops into an herbal bitterness, the late taste of spruce tip, fine grasses, botanical herbs, peppery resins and fruit peels start to pull away from the malts.
Medium bodied, crisp and refreshing, the drying ale finishes mostly bitter and dry but with a tepid malt support even late. An after palate of fruit peels and pine easily outlasts any linger of sweetness in proud west coast form.

All the typical characteristics are present, until the taste. Color is amber, nice little head. Nose is citrus and piney. Taste is a little off for me. Something extra was added that I cannot put my finger on. Not much after bitterness for my taste as well as WC style.
