In collaboration with the hop wizards at @fidensbrewing, we are PROUD to present “More Axe”, a Triple Dry Hopped Hazy DIPA!
We’ve long admired what the NY Hop Gods have been doing over at Fidens, so when they asked us to collab, we knew it had to be a TDH DIPA with our “Super Saturated” treatment. After talking, we thought it would be fun to see what our approach would do to one of their lauded IPA’s: “Eugene’s Axe”. So we merged their recipe with our approach, and “MORE AXE” was born!
This behemoth of Hops started with a base of @riverbendmalt Cumberland Pilsner and 2-Row Base Camp, along with a very hefty dose of Riverbend Wheat and Oats and Chit, and a dusting of Flaked Oats. We then pummeled the Whirlpool with Citra T-90 pellets and hot-dipped the Fermenter with Citra Dynaboost. Fermented with our House IPA yeast, dry-hopped first with more Citra T-90 pellets and Citra Cryo and spunded for 100% natural carbonation, then dry-hopped a second time with MORE Citra.

Draft at Dssolvr. Poured a cloudy, hazy, golden orange color with a decent sized head of foam. It left rings of lace. It smelled of grapefruit, orange, sweet caramel and pine. Sweet fruity taste with toasted caramel and a sharp piney bite.
