Dreamed up with our fruity-tooty brethren Atriumbrewing and honed in by our cellar team to celebrate the final season of “Stranger Things” and our big party in Durham this Saturday 12/20!
We wanted to riff on something that harkened back to the show, and obviously [REDACTED BRAND NAME] Waffles was the first choice, and so we conditioned it on a mountain of Vanilla Granola, Brown Sugar, and Vanilla to get a really cool “Baked Goods” effect, and then further conditioned it on Maple Syrup and ALOT of Blueberries! I think there’s a Blueberry reference in the show? For argument’s sake, let’s all agree that Eleven loves Blueberries. Or was it Will? Maybe it was that pizza delivery dude?

Hot off the heel's of things of strange, Dssolvr & Atrium brewers team up for a brunchy beer of maple, blueberry, granola and alcohol slathered across a sour ale that takes mysterious flavors to another world.
Muddy and mauve, Vecna's Brunch struggles with froth but settles into the glass with a berry smoothie-centric appearance. Sweet, sour, savory and fruity aromas intertwine on the nose, remiss of blueberry pancakes, smoothie and citrus rolled into one. Candied sweetness laces with maple, brown sugar and vanilla cream for a malty sweet upstart ahead of a tangier middle palate of blueberry, lime, lemon, grape, gooseberry and passionfruit. Rising sourness balances the persistent breakfast sweetness and provides a much needed refreshment heading into finish.
Medium bodied for smoothie ale but fuller overall, the beer straddles the breakfast and brunch timelines but it's tangy sweetness may be best suited for dessert.
