I didn't really notice any difference between the Fresh Hop version and the "Welcome to Pyramid version. The Fresh Hop has a lower .abv and a different color can.
Pretty good West Coast style IPA. Nothing outstanding, but it nice to have a piney IPA with some bitterness once in a while. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a 12 oz. Ice tea glass (I'm on vacation), this beer features a clear light gold color with a small, bubbly white head. Head retention is a bit better than average with minimal lacing.
Aroma and taste include mild piney hops flavor with some good bitterness and dry, biscuity malt. Mouthfeel is crisp and moderately bitter. I've had better Wedt Coast IPAs but this one is pretty good.
