“Part Time Wizard, Full Time Badass” is a 24mo Cherry Apple Brandy Barrel Aged Honey Imperial Stout, brewed in collaboration with our forever lovelies @saludbeer. And it’s probably one of the best Base Stouts we’ve put out so far! (key words being “so far”...wink wink…)
Over two years ago, Dustin, Jason and Lee came through to brew up a big ol’ batch of Schwarzbier, but we pulled off the first runnings from that batch, boiled them down for many hours, and dosed them with a ton of Wildflower and Orange Blossom Honey from @walkerhoneyfarms before fermentation. We then racked the finished beer into Cherry Apple Brandy barrels, where it rested patiently for 24 long, long months.
We love this beer ALMOST as much as we love those Salud humans. Notes of silky smooth light roast coffee with a spoonful of Honey, fresh and super fudgy brownies drizzled in Cherry and Apple compote, and big hugs over glass after glass of Brandy with your friends on these long Winter nights. This is super luxurious and truly needs no adjuncts whatsoever. A rich marriage of Honey, Stout, and Barrel indeed. Besos, amigos.
