look: 3 | smell: 3.25 | taste: 3.25 | feel: 3.25 | overall: 3
Appearance: Pours slightly cloudy, deep yellow with a a little white foam that reduces to a nice froth. Nice carbonation and a little lacing.
Aroma: Piney hops, peat, a bit pungent.
Taste: Citrusy hops, a little fruity.
Mouth feel: Light to medium light body. Slick and dry.
Overall: This beer was produced by Schlafly for Schnucks Markets for their 75th anniversary. Nothing special. An ordinary American IPA.

Medium to dark golden colored beer with a fairly hazy complexion. I see a half inch head of foam on top. The head dissipates down to where it barely covers the top of the beer. Brussels lacing. Incredible aroma of piney and also some citrus hops hops greets my nose. The front of the palate is very bitter with pineapple and citrus like hops. The light malt backbone barely restrains this hop intensity. The fade lThe body is moderately carbonated and you get a nice gentle warming on your tongue from the hops.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of citrus and toasted caramel. Sweet citrusy flavor with caramel and a nice bitterness.

Pours a hazy, golden color. 1/3 inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of piney hops, pine, hint of citrus, sweet malt, slight alcohol, and slight yeast. Fits the style of an American IPA. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of citrus hops, slight pine, sweet malt, yeast, hint of floral hops, and alcohol. Overall, good appearance, aroma, body, and blend.

Pours a clear pale golden with nice white bubbles. Attractive lace, too.
Nose seems promising -- nice citrus hops and plenty of malts, too.
Taste seems strange. Kinda sour, kinda funky, but smooth somehow. Unsure if it's the "cream ale" aspect, or a bottle improperly stored, but this one is not a favorite.
Would love to try another bottle, but this was a gift and isn't sold in my area.

A cream IPA? Interesting. When I was at the Schlafly tap room, the bar tender informed that this has lactose sugar in it, I am intrigued. Pours a pale yellow with white some head and heavy lacing. Nose has light herbal hops with some grassiness. The hops are muted and met by some caramel sweetness. The taste is smooth and creamy with mellow herbal hops throughout. The lactose brings a bit of sweetness but ultimately seems to give it that creamy mouthfeel you get in milk stouts. There is a bit of sugary sweetness as the end, but it is pretty much mellowed out by the hops. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth with moderate carbonation. Overall, I like the ingenuity of this beer. I don't think this recipe is necessarily crazy good, but I think cream IPA's might have something going for them.

This beer surprised me
Pours a very vice amber color with medium head-
Mouthfeel is nice like a DFH 90 min-
Speaking of which the taste and aftertaste are like a combination of 60 then immediately 90. This combo both works and is yet a little much.
Sessions as a good beer, maybe 2 at most for me at a time.
Plus the bottle is amazing in so many ways if you are in on the STL culture.
I'll give this a solid 4.0

12oz bottle, bottled 3/7/2014. Poured into an unlabeled snifter today, 5/12/2014.
A- Hazy straw yellow body. Looks like a wheat or gose rather than an IPA. One finger white head, average retention, a bit of lacing.
S- Pineapple, citrus, more pineapple, bread, small bit of caramel sweetness. Lots of pineapple.
F- Pineapple, tropical fruit, bread, hard minerals, a strange funky aftertaste that makes me imagine of some sort of stale pine juice that's been left out for a week. Not terrible, but strange & I don't think it goes very well with the pineapple forward qualities of the beer. It's also light on the bready malt.
M- Thinner bodied, solid carbonation but there is something off about the finish that interferes with an otherwise solidly built, pineapple-forward palate.
O- Weird finish and thin mouthfeel takes away from my enjoyment of the otherwise pineapple and citrus hop-forward flavours in this beer. There is also a very small malt backbone that could otherwise cut back on the bitterness and overcome the strange finish.
