Not a bad brown, pretty mainstream and nothing to knock your socks off - but it's a brown.
Clear mahogany brown, not much in the way of head or lacing. Just some subtle notes of a malty caramel in both the aroma and quaff. Some doughy bread is also lurking under the surface. As a decent brown, you could drink these all evening - a real session brew.

I had this on tap at the Tap Room Sunday in a pint glass. It poured a bright copper color with a thick cream colored head. Nice fruity apple, pear aroma with a light caramel malt finish. Good lace. Taste is more of the light caramel, nicely balanced by the fruit, again apple. Mild grapefruit citrus finish. Smooth mouth feel, very drinkable. I became a fan of this style via Dann Paquettes Merrimac Mild, and this beer approaches, yet doesnt quite achieve Danns quality. Its still a nice beer, and excellent session beer.

At the Tap Room waiting for the new cask of English mild ale just up from the cellar to have its vent peg loosened from the oak bung.
The 1st pour in a clear pint glass came over the brim with its strong off white head was refilled and errupted more head down the side. A third pull topped it off nicely and the persistant cap of fine head withstood the oils from Islandic Cod and Chips with a clinging lace that coated the entire glass as it emptied.
Worth the short wait and 200 mile trip, the rements of dry hopping float to the bottom of my glass pint attached to the finnings the brewworkers added before sealing the SS cask and its unfiltered ambrosia to age in the cellar. A Cellar just below my feet that it just left minutes before I got this glass.
Better hop aroma the the previous Scotch Style Ale. Taste is similar fruit and hop blend noted smooth and light, with a faint hoppy nibble in the finish. More creamy and light mouthfeel, the malt flavor makes this beer most desirable of the 3 cask offerings. (American Pale Ale and Scotch Style Ale).
I will take a growler of it back to friends.

When poured, this beer had a small sized white head with fine-large bubbles that was mostly diminishing. The body was clear and uncarbonated with a copper hue.The nose was lightly malty and some caramel along with a lightly sweet flavor. This beer lacked flavor in my opinion. The mouthfeel was smooth and watery and light bodied.

A very nice mild ale. The body on this beer is copper colored and topped by a fluffy cream head. Nice effect is also present.
The nose is caramel malt with a slight hop note for balance. The feel is very smooth and light, with a lack bite in the finish. Very creamy and light, the malt flavor can carry this beer through a respectable session.
