well what can i say, this is my first time tasting a cask ale, and i wasn't impressed. If it had been colder i might of enjoyed it a little more. The color looked good and the smell was awesome, toffee, deep malt hints and a slight hop presence, but i wasn't impressed with the taste, i could tell it had the potential to be good, but it had absolutely no carbonation and i may just be showing my newbiness towards cask beer but i wasn't a big fan. i'll probably review this beer again once i buy it at a more familiar tempature.

It came to the table lookin’ good in the pint glass – deep brown, almost black with a nice foamy tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate and coffee. But the taste, damn, reminded me of the Schlafly coffee stout, but with a nutty finish. Just too much coffee kick. Carbonation was good, along with the full body feel. Could only drink one and switched to Oatmeal Stouts – yum.

This beer came from the pump into the glass a deep brown color, mildly hazy. It was topped by a thin tan head. The nose had hints of caramel, mild roast malt, a little coffee, and finally just a little orange. The taste has a nice caramel sweetness, mild coffee, and a little orange and apple. Smooth rich mouth feel, very drinkable. Greet beer for the cask.

Much too much mildness in this Brown. The look is OK, no more than that, with a clear bronze body topped by a minimal head. No lace.

The aroma is very mild and nondescript; I'd characterize it as lacking. Likelwise the taste though slightly better, just doesn't impress of strong elements. Sure, this is quite drinkable, but I'd rather turn to something a little fuller of aroma and taste. The feel is a tad too thin and the carbonation too light.

Clear brown in color, soft creamy head. Light caramel nutty aroma, good nutty flavor, light body a little too light, and a bit watery, not a bad brown ale but not the best, easy to drink one, more than that would be too much.

This is a fairly well built brown. The color is a lighter shade of brown with a light foamy white lace. The aroma is pleasantly nutty. A decent body holds up a nutty malty flavor finished off by a quick bitter and chocolate stroke.
