Appearance: Cloudy amber, with a solid head of fine off-white suds. Tree-line of lace.

Aroma: Delightfully fruity, with tropical and pine notes. Stunning!

Taste: Nice mix of bitter and sweet, with plenty of tropical notes. Not an IPA here, but this one is full of hoppy flavor. My favorite of the Hop Trial quadrilogy.

Pours a cloudy, gold color. 3/4 inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of citrus hops, hint of pine, slight sweet malt, pale malt, hint of earthiness, and a hint of yeast. Fits the style of an American IPA. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with an average carbonation level. There is only a slight bitterness. Tastes of citrus hops, slight sweet malt, hint of pale malt, earthiness, hint of pine, and a hint of rye. Overall, great appearance, good aroma, body, blend, and complexity.

APA my favorite style, cannot get enough of them and Dales. This one is my favorite of their 4 part Hop Trial series.
Here's why:

A: Pale yellow fog body with abundant head that lasts and laces (more fog) down the glass.
S: One of my favorite beer aromas, tho all fruit orchard and flowers. Smells like fresh apples, peach, cantaloupe, and a sun baked yellow dirt path to the barn.
T: Follows smell. Mostly orchard fruit, apples, peach, nectarines, that are balanced by a grassy yet honey hop core. Finished suitably dry and uncloying.
F: Creamy medium body - well matched.

As a BAer wrote "Doesnt seem like beer, so fruity." agree. but not sweet, or artificial, all subtle and from the hop flowers.
Try 24.

On tap at Cloverleaf Tavern. Of the four Schlafly varietals I sampled, this one was one of the better. Strong lemon nuances in both the nose and palate combined with a piney, earthy flavor made this one stick out above the others. Recommended.

Pours a frosty burnt orange with a centimeter-thick white head. Head retention is so-so, with a fair amount of lacing left behind. Fruity hop aromas come through first, with hints of pine and resin hops, and biscuit malts. Fairly well balanced, although the entire aroma seems muffled. The flavor profile is more centered on biscuit malts than hops. Hop notes present are fruity, and resin, with a twinge of pine. Not too bad, but the malts definitely cover up and keep the hops from shining. Mouth feel is velvety, smooth, and otherwise filling. It has a medium thickness and consistency to it. Overall, it's an alright edition of the Hop Trial series. The aroma does show case fruity hops somewhat, but the flavor profile is much more malty rather than hoppy.

Served in a 12oz snifter.

Pours an effervescent & slightly hazed gold with 2 fingers of fluffy eggshell colored head. Sheets of lacing & great head retention

S: Breadyness, lemons, & grapefruit; some tangerine as well

T: Follows the nose, some white grape, grassiness & pear as well up front. Some spicy hop surface as this warms, a little grapefruit & dryness too. Finishes dry with grassiness, white grape & pomelo

MF: Medium body, fairly firm carbonation, nice balance

Drinks easy, a pretty good take on the style

Gold to light brass in color with decent clarity. There's a fingernail of bright white on top. Aroma is of herbal hops and faint light malt. I taste tropical hops with traces of pineapple and papaya. The mouth is light, crisp, and refreshing.
