Aroma is big tea, earthy malts and spices. The flavor is tea, fruit/citrus, earthy/bready malts and a mix of slight sweetness and increasing in the finish.

Appearance: Cloudy golden, with a nice head of off-white suds. Tree-line of thin lace.
Aroma: Spicy, sharp grapefruit here, with some citrus, tropical, and fruity notes. Nice.
Taste: Spicy hops again, while the sweet malts balance it out. Pleasantly sharp with these hops. Enjoyable.

Pours a hazy, golden color. 1/3 inch head of a white color. Good retention and great lacing. Smells of pale malt, tea, caramel malt, spicy hops, and a hint of citrus. Fits the style of an English IPA. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong spicy hops, pale malt, slight caramel malt, hint of tea, hint of citrus, and a hint of pine. Overall, good appearance, blend, and body.

happy to be among first reviewers of this golden ale single hop series. Outstanding and differentiated.
A) Pours a bright gold body with 3 fingers of eggshell head, that laces a stain glass window, & provides ample head retention.
S: Floral, grassy, grapefruit, citric, but too faint.
T: Follows smell, more abundant and singing: flowers and pepper. Bready, grassy with citrus up front. Turns a peppery corner, and finishes grassy with hemp & leafy hops.
MF: Medium body, slight carbonation & good balance. Nice finish.
For sure an English IPA, try 6.

Hazy gold, figer of creamy white head
Pepper, grass, raspberry, strawberry
It just tastes like pure black pepper and some berry
Spicy zippy hop bite, smooth creamy beer
I could not honestly take more than a few sips.

On tap at Cloverleaf Tavern. Of the four Schlafly hop varietals I sampled, this one was my least favorite. Supposedly a British venture, this one failed to pull in the load for me. Seemingly unbalanced despite it's relative simplicity. I wasn't blown away by this one.
