A: hazy apricot in color with some chunks and a white head.
S: light coconut with a slight tart aroma. Something else in there I can't quite pick out.
T: light tart flavor with a coconut and cream finish. Slight malt flavor and light citrus finish.
M: medium light in body with near effervescent carbonation. Dry finish.
O: overall an interesting brew, flavors are subdued, but there and don't draw focus.

L - Light golden with a ton of clarity with a white head with dissipates quickly leaving behind no lacing or head
S - Wheat and yeast on the nose - maybe some coconut in there, but I can't be sure
T - Wheat and yeast throughout with mild, soft coconut flavor but overall the coconut really isn't that noticeable - some vanilla in there as well.
F - Light to medium bodied with a moderate to high amount of carbonation.
O - Honestly, a disappointment compared to what I was hoping for. No real coconut flavor and just an ok overall taste. Not horrible, but just not that great.

Taste: some sweet toasted coconut, some toffee, caramel malt. Mild yeast and coconut husk nose. Pale gold hue, somewhat hazy, tall foamy head, some lace. Medium light body. Maybe the bottle was pass fresh date? 17 IBUs

Sweet smell of malt, yeast, and a little coconut. Taste starts with mild pineapple and coconut, then a strong malt and yeast flavor. The finish is somewhat bitter and very earthy. It’s not terribly sweet for a dessert beer. Really pretty well balanced.

The St. Louis Brewery "Schlafly Coconut Creme Ale"
12 fl. oz. brown glass bottle, "Bottled With Love On 102218 08:57" and sampled on 061118 10:17
$2.99 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: It's poured a very hazy golden body with visible particulate in suspension. The head is a finger-thick cap of creamy bright white foam. I'm not sure how I feel about the haze but I think I'll give it a pass in scoring as it's a coconut dessert beer. The aroma doesn't display much coconut at all. Mainly I get yeasty fruitiness and a little bit of grainy malt. Is there a hint of funkiness there as well...? Pineapple? Let's see... there is a tartness to it, and almost a suggestion of some funkiness, like Brettanomyces, but it never really gets to the point that you'd say that. Interesting. There's no mention of pineapple on the label. I'm assuming it's probably not supposed to be like this, or is it? I thought it would be straightforward, sweetish and grainy malt with coconut but there's definitely some acidity and fruitiness and earthiness to it. Those notes come first and the coconut follows, appearing at the swallow, and after the tart fruitiness has faded more of the grainy malt comes through as well. It's a little wheaty, and sweetish but not too sweet. I thought for a dessert beer it might be a little sweeter, but it's moderately bitter and just a touch sweetish in the finish. It's medium-light in body and gently crisp then smooth across the tongue. The coconut is mild and not overdone, and the mild acidity and fruitiness balances it nicely although it seems more like a pina-colada beer than a coconut creme ale to me. Other than that I love it, and I think it would be an excellent summer beer.

12 ounce bottle, the stamp on the label is worn but I can tell it was bottled sometime in 2018. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a slightly hazy gold color with about a quarter inch white head. Head retention and lacing were both decent enough. Aroma is nice but subtle, the brew smells like pineapple, coconut, bready malt and some lime. Luckily the taste has a little more kick to it. Flavor is pretty much the same as the aroma but stronger, it mostly tastes like coconut and pineapple with the lime and bready malt in the background. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's a bit slick and easy to drink with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this, it would be a good brew for a hot day. Definitely worth picking up! $2.06 for a single bottle.
