The Northeast IPA is a fresh, unfiltered beer that uses a revolutionary way to coax flavor from its hops. Schlafly uses both a kettle boil for subtle bitterness, and employs the exciting process of fermented dry-hopping, creating a brilliant, heady beer that’s sure to arrest the senses of any IPA drinker. As hazy as a squall off the coast, this beer captivates the tongue with a fruity and malty profile.

Hazy orange in color with a half finger sea foamy head on a medium pour. Smells a touch clean and citrusy, hint of pine. Touch of booze maybe as well. Orange citrus and pine in flavor all up front, a big flavor bomb there. Herbal in the middle as it balances itself. The malts make for a somewhat creamy mouthfeel that is capable of taming the massive hop bombs going off. Touch of booze in the finish but it's pleasant and doesn't take away from the overall flavor. Finishes pretty clean and doesn't linger much in the back, just that twinge of alcohol to remind you that it's 8%. A very good NEIPA, definitely stands up to some of the other good ones that have come out of this fad.

A nice light ipa, not to heavy on the stomach and tastes good

This is a beer that will make eyebrows go up. I got it because it was relatively cheap and something new. Smells very aromatic and pleasantly hoppy for IPA lovers. The smoothness of this drink is top-notch, taste is very balanced, and the smoothness going down (8% abc) is worth trying even if you are not a fan of hop centric beers. Definitely worthy of the scores it receives, arguably better.

My good friend and old neighbor from Oswego gave me a can of this beer. It poured a hazy golden with thin white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had faint citrus notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle citrus presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a decent beer.

From a tall can, I’m surprised that I haven’t had this brew before. It is a hazy, yellow-orange color with a tall and fizzy white head. The aroma is full of intense hop notes. Pine and juicy fruit tones. The taste is not as bitter as expected. Maybe that explains the name? Full in body and solidly enjoyable.
