Pours a bright and effervescent gold with fast falling beige head. Murks up at the bottom of the bottle, zero head retention & lacing

S: Pears, a trace of grainyness

T: Extremely dry with pears and white grape, tart lemons, faint oatmeal/wet cereal notes up front. Tartness & dryness dominate as this warms, a long with porridge & lemon notes. Sour and tart orange note, a little acidity, along with dryness and faint porridge notes in the finish

MF: Delicate body & carbonation

Not going to say this totally on point for the style, but I like where they took it! Pretty drinkable, almost some Brut aspects to this. If this is infection creeping in, I like it....

An interesting local version of an old, pre-hop beers.
Hazy gold, minimal head, tart fruit aromas.
Tart, enough effervescence to keep it crisp, don’t miss the hops.

Copper colored with excellent clarity and lots of carbonation bubbles erupting from the bottom of the glass. No discernible head. I smell juniper and honey. I'm tasting lemongrass and perhaps juniper. The mouth is crisp and tart.

A limited release beer, brewed in collaboration with local St. Louis artists and musicians, this one is interesting, drinkable, and enjoyable. It is hard to tell that the beer is brewed without hops...the spice and herbs give it bitterness, balance, and lots of flavor. There is a little tartness, plenty of ripe fruit scents, and some spicy qualities. Flavorful, medium in body, interesting, and approachable. It is hard to ask for more.
