12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of oak, vanilla, citrus and pine. Sweet citrus taste with oak notes and hints of vanilla.

Pours a foggy pale yellow/orange with two fingers of white foam (mind you, this is into a narrow Kolsch glass). Head retention is good. Aroma is IPA notes right up front, hitting tropical fruits, citrus and resiny hops. Bourbon comes in for a dash of heat, singeing the citrus to a close. Flavor profile brings the same qualities forward, hitting notes of tropical fruits, citrus, resiny and herbal hops. Bourbon then kicks in, ratcheting up the heat and muffling the initial sweet hops. There is a kiss of peat within the bourbon. Mouth feel is slightly expansive in terms of effervescence, bubbling up a bit like a soft champagne. It has a medium-thick consistency. Overall, IPA notes are great right out of the gate, and are then paired well with bourbon. It's a tasteful way of taking a sip of an IPA and chasing it with a dash of bourbon.
