The head does not last long on this 10 percenter, it goes down rather quickly & it is well hidden. Reminds me of the regular Schlafly Pumpkin Ale just a tad bit more alcoholic, but nothing too harsh. There is some vegetal sourness going down on the backend. Well the pumpkin was quite prevalent in the first 12 ounces of this wine size bottle, but the second 12 ounces is where the spices take over the presence of the stage more, with that being said I can call this a somewhat of a complex beer because the flavors change from a more vegetal pumpkin taste to a more spiced forward pumpkin the more I drink it. Obviously, the spices stuck down to the bottom of the bottle & that made pumpkin take the lead role in the first half of the show. Finally, I can say that I do like the Schlafly Imperial Pumpkin Ale more than the regular version Schlafly Pumpkin Ale because the imperial packs more pumpkin. Cheers! A-
