Tap. Chestnut with thinner head. Plenty of caramel and fruity chocolate on the nose, with some nuttiness. Chocolate/coffee roast. Flavor follows, with some dried fruit. Moderately malty. Pretty sweet. Light bitterness. Medium mouthfeel. The name of this is interesting and maybe made me expect more or less a typical "Scottish ale" style, and it is brewed with golden promise. Really though, it fits the characteristics of a brown moreso than a Scottish or Irish red.
