Half Moon Mild is that perfect beer for a summer evening. While it’s visually on the darker side, it’s light body and malt forward flavor lends itself to winding down under the stars on a warm summer night.

12 oz can poured into a tulip pint glass. Pours an amber brown, similar to a brown ale. Nice retention and lacing. Aroma and flavor feature light toasty malt, some citrus/floral hops, and a sour twang. Mouthfeel is well-carbonated and while on the thin side, it's still impressively full-bodied (relatively speaking) and full-flavored for such a low-abv beer. Overall, it would be much better with a bit of sweetness instead of the acidity. Meh.

Dark brown in color with moderate light penetration. There’s a fingernail of beige on top. The aroma is of caramel and toasted nuts. I’m tasting caramel and toasted nuts. The amount of flavor and aroma for such a light ABV beer is fantastic. The mouth is light and easygoing.

poured from a 12oz can into a half pint glass. pours a light brown setting to a deep chestnut. malt, malt and a little more malt in the nose. it’s a tiny bit hoppy and a tiny bit caramely. taste has some dark fruits and to it as well as coffee, caramel and chocolate. a medium-full mouthfeel with a little lower carb to it. this is dense, intense and almost ‘heavy’ for 3.8%. pretty enjoyable, although maybe not as mild as the it’s name makes it out to be.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, light burgundy color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left little to no lacing on the glass. It smelled of light roasted coffee, toffee and some floral notes. Nice toasted caramel and toffee taste with a touch of coffee. Mild bitterness.
