Pours quite opaque, almost black with a glimpse of amber around the edge of the glass. Creamy foam dissipates rapidly, but lacing persists to the end. Smell is strong malt with some roasted character, adds a floral vanilla (forsythia?) as the beer warms. Taste starts quite full bodied, more roasted grain than malt, which gives over to a mild lactose or milk chocolate sweetness in the middle. The middle and end of the flavors are milder than expected for a cream stout, with hops more noticeable. Mouth feel also seems light for the style, with carbonation taking on a larger role than expected. Overall, an enjoyable beer, midway between an Irish stout and a cream stout.

L- Pours Jet black out of a 12 oz bottle with little quickly dissipating head.
S- Sweet cinnamon and caramel aroma. Smells kind of artificial. Some dark malt aromas in the background.
T- Dark malt and chocolate flavors with a medium bitter throughout.
F- light-medium body with a moderate to high carbonation.
O- Generally good stout with some seemingly artificial aroma/taste. Subtle irish creaminess.

12oz bottle. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sticky patches of lace on the glass. It smelled of chocolate, toffee, caramel and creaminess. Sweet, milk chocolate taste with toffee, caramel and cream.

12oz bottle pours an extremely deep brown-black with a dense tan-colored head that reduces to a thick ring around the edge. Smells of dark, roasted malts with a sweet, creamy note. Robust flavor of roasted and burnt malts with a very subtle notes of vanilla, caramel, and wood. Small bitterness at the close, minimal to mild sweetness, full-bodied, and a smooth, creamy mouthfeel with only a bit of carbonation feel.
I think this has lactose in it, but it is much less sweet that most milk stouts I have tasted. The Irish cream-inspired flavors are very subtle, but the base stout here is very solid and the flavors compliment it well. Might buy this one again.
