I picked up the eclipse themed mixed twelve pack for the weekend since the eclipse is in less than 48 hours and I generally like Schlafly. Nice grassy hop note in the nose with caramel. Solid head with appropriate lacing. It takes a second, but this does come through with some pine and resin and basic caramel malt that kind of hold the fort until the resinous finish kicks in. Touch of alcohol burn as well. Definitely a little harsher and old school than a lot of the IPAs these days. Not for everyone I bet but I could do a few of these before I'd need a break.

12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of citrus, pineapple, caramel and some resin. Sweet tropical fruit taste with toasted caramel and a piney bitterness.

Copper colored with a lightly hazy complexion. They’re a three quarter inch of densely packed beige foam on top. It faded to fingernail in a few minutes. Light, soapy lacing is present. The aroma is of light oranges. I’m tasting oranges and earthy hops. The mouth is dry and somewhat dense.
