Deep brown with amber highlights. There’s a fingernail of brown around the rim and covering three quarters of the top. There’s aroma is of caramel. I’m tasting caramel and lightly toasted nuts. The mouth is refreshing and crisp.

A very nice British ale. A little heavy on the buscuit and roast. But perhaps that’s to style for a “dark” mild. Schlafly is making a comeback. Will be looking for more.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, dark brown color with a small, white head of foam. It left minimal lacing. It smelled of roasted malt, coffee and caramel. Sweet caramel, toffee and roasted coffee.
