Monstrously hoppy, this is by far the hoppiest beer I've ever had from Schlafly, and it's really good! Tons of oily, earthy pine and pungent citrus, dried lemon and grapefruit peel, and a slightly fruity finish make this one delicious beer. Kind of reminded me of an earthy version of PtE. Body is medium with an oily, earthy, bitter finish. Nice to see Schlafly going into double IPA territory and doing such a good job of it.

Enjoyed on-cask @ the Schlafly Tap Room during the Cod & Cask Festival in St. Louis, MO for $4.25. Tapped from the Cask @ the North Bar into a 12oz Snifter Glass. Tried a sample of both the tap and cask version and this one was much fresher!
Aroma- A complexed aroma hit the nose hard from the beginning with mango, pretzels, and citrus all included. Has tons of American hops and a mix of grassy, piney attributes too. Very strong and perfect for style!
Appearance- Received with no head at all, due to the cask offering. Has a grapefruit/orange juice color with no visibility. Completely hazy and cloudy. Leaves no lacing behind.
Flavor- The flavor is very complexed and tough to pick out characteristics. Tons of hop and mixed fruits start this one out. Like the aroma, has mango and pretzel notes that come out again. Has a High Bitterness level but the fruit and sweetness bring it down to more of a Medium-High level.
Mouthfeel- Medium-Full Bodied, Light Carbonation, Smooth, and VERY complexed! Enjoyed all of the fruit and complexity in this one.
Overall Impression- While this is a new one from Schlafly, I would like to see them continue these kind of innovative beers! Very nice and if you get a chance, order @ the Tap Room. I would have enjoyed another but had to leave room for the Cod and Shrimp that day. Highly suggest!
