Pours a black color. 1/3 inch head of a tan color. Good retention and decent lacing. Smells of strong milk chocolate, hint of coffee, strong sweet malt, and hint of earthiness. Fits the style of a Milk / Sweet Stout. Mouth feel is smooth and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of strong milk chocolate, hint of coffee, strong sweet malt, hint of yeast, and hint of earthiness. Overall, intense milk chocolate body and aroma, almost like eating a candy bar.

This is a really solid milk stout; the flavors are not too intense (i.e., not very sweet) though they are incredibly well-balanced and easily discernible on the palate. That is to say that chocolate does not predominate the palate and neither does the lactose sweetness.

12oz bottle. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left subtle, thin rings of lace. It smelled of sweet chocolate, toasty toffee and cream. Sweet chocolate and creaminess with a touch of caramel & toffee. Mild bitterness.

Nice stout does what it should very well. Black body with a hint of red in the light. Khaki head with tight bubbles doesn't last but leaves lacing up the glass. Light vanilla, cream, cHocolate smell. Feel is creamy up front, with a nice, coating body and carbonation- bite without the bubbles. Taste isn't overpowering in any direction. Reminds me mostly of a light chocolate milk. Got it in a schlafly mixed 12 stout pack.

Had this on tap at Schlafly Bottleworks. Pours dark, with a decent amount of head that dissipated fairly quickly, but left behind very nice lacing. Aroma was mild, but sweet with some dark malts. Taste was of dark malts, chocolate, and a bit of something slightly reminiscent of bourbon. Medium body, and very smooth and creamy mouth-feel.
Very enjoyable; this is one of the better mild stouts I have had.

Wow great flavor in a smaller stout highly drinkable and huge chocolate punch without being syrupy or overly sweet. Love to see a bottled imperial version.
