Deep amber in color and medium in body, this malty lager is a light version of the Oktoberfest style.

Enjoyed on-tap @ the Schlafly Tap Room in St. Louis, MO for $4.50. Tapped from the Plain Black/Silver tap handle w/o a Label on it into a 16oz Hefeweizen Glass.

Aroma- Tons of malt and sweetness hit the nose. Wish there was a bit more noble hops hanging around but very clean and appropriate.

Appearance- Received with a 1 finger head that dies quickly. Has a light reddish/amber colored body with good clarity. Leaves suds behind on the glass.

Flavor- Has malt from the start and then banana towards mid drink. Very soft characteristics but the fruit is evident. Crisp with a semi-dry flavor. No hops or bitterness found.

Mouthfeel- Medium Bodied, Medium Carbonation, Smooth, Crisp, and very pleasant all around.

Overall Impression- A very malt dominant Vienna Lager with tons of fruit. Enjoyed the light banana character and wish I could explain the other notes found. Enjoyed tons and ready for another pint! Great one to start out your night.

Clear and amber with a pretty good head and lacing. Sweet and richly malty, with a touch of fruit and some bready notes. Hop balance was nice. Body was light and extremely drinkable. I don't remember the ABV but I think it was light and highly sessionable. A great beer for lunch at the taproom!

Pours a clear, copper color. One inch head of a white color. Great retention and good lacing. Smells of hops, sweet malt, slight grain, strong yeast, and a hint of citrus. Fits the style of a Vienna Lager. Mouth feel is slightly smooth and slightly creamy with an average carbonation level. Tastes of yeast, sweet malt, grain, slight hop, and a hint of citrus. Overall, a good blend, body, aroma, and drinkability.

I picked up a growler earlier today, braving the final four traffic. When the games started I poured myself and my fiance a pint. It has a copper hue with a pleasant off white head. Malt dominates all, as it should. The nose is slightly weak. The flavor is dominated by a great chewy maltiness. Illinois won the first game and the growler is over. Why doesn't Schlafly's deliver? Go Big Ten!

Clear dark orange-copper in color, has a soft white foamy head. Light flowery and malty caramel aromas, sweet, balanced malts and clean tasting, light in body with a thin and watery mouthfeel, its very smooth and drinkable might just be a good session brew.

Reviewed from a growler picked up at the 4/5 St. Louis BA event.

Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, glowing amber with copper edges. Topping the body is a light tan head that begins almost an inch thick, then shrinks down to a thin cap.

Smell: The nose is full of fresh malt, with a sweet hint to it.

Taste: As to be expected, the flavor is dominated by the rich malt taste. A touch of breadiness too. There's the slightest bit of fruitiness, but it's quite subtle. Ends with a firm hop bitterness, as well as the suggestion of toasted malt.

Mouthfeel: Thin in body with a sharp, crisp finish. Very light (in a good way) and satisfying.

Drinkability: Good overall. This is a solid try at the Vienna style. It's not great, but it's a good brew that I could easily drink a few of.

Cheers to Ave, Realale, and Winomark!
