This Farmhouse Saison was fermented in a foeder for nearly a year. Notes of tropical funk and dry spiciness are accented by tannins from the oak vessel. Gold Medal winner U.S. Open Beer Championship 2023.

Appearance: Slightly hazy gold, frothy white head with good retention.
Aroma: Green apple, pear and apricot esters. Mild Brett-like funk.
Flavor: Light apple, pear and apricot on the front. Tart at the end with mild bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied. Dry with moderate astringency. Effervescent carbonation.
Overall: Nicely balanced between elements of fruity esters, tartness, and bitterness. Each element stands out. Familiar Brett-like aroma and flavor; however, it is not overdone. Spicy note mixed in. Drinks light and refreshing with a moderate, effervescent carbonation. Dry finish. Has a moderate level of astringency that sticks on the palate. I enjoy Saisons. I don't enjoy ones with a lot of Brett character; but those that do will like this a lot. It is still quite tolerable for me, as the Brett is not quite as prominent as some others and the other elements of the beer balance it out. Well Crafted.
