Bought at the Smuggler's Cafe, Portmagee, County Kerry, Ireland. July 4th, 2019. 500 ml bottle with hand scrawled Best Before date of 25/3/20 Consumed in Edinburgh, July 16th, 2019.
Deep brown in color. Slight scattered head quickly dissipates. Almost no retention/lacing.
Smell is lightly roasty but I am picking up more of a fruity note akin to a Dubbel. And this builds as it warms and moves away from any dry or roasty notes.
Mouthfeel is a tad thin and finishes on the lighter side.
