an easy drinking rice lager which based on the name i assume is for a good cause. been awhile since i had a beer from these guys, and this is pretty well refined, takes more character than most of these ever seem to from the rice, and is a pleasant summer weather ripper that is not boring in the least. bright yellow, bubbly, and well refined, smells unique for the style, i get some almost german pils character, subtle floral and starchy elements both from the rice, more hops than most of these have too, and a european type lager yeast thats not neutral even when its cold, but the crispness is obvious. super light in body and excited in feel, dry and fast drinking. the hops get pushed up a bit, hit early for a beer like this, some fleshy lemon and cut grass character, and good finishing bitterness, again a bit more pils-esque, especially with the yeast presence, but the rice brings springy white florals to me and a soft nuttiness that fits in well and adds a layer without making it heavy at all. nice minerality, water chemistry, overall refinement and attention to detail too. the hops make it snappy on the back end, and for how light and quick this is, its also well flavorful, the freshness stands out, and the quality is really high. delicious beer, i could have a dozen of these in a sitting no problem, among the best bewilder beers ive had to date...
