Picture this: a weeks-old brewery on a busy Saturday night, already down a beer, and then another "last Keg" kicks. What do you do? A new, unnamed New England IPA, bursting at the seams with juicy citrus character, sits in the cooler, set aside fot the grand opening party next week. A hasty decision is made. "We have to put it on tonight! We Are Getting Crushed.

The beer is translucent with vibrant orange in a dense antique white mousse above. The head holds one inch for a while before resetting at half an inch. A pretty scattering of lace islands range from big to small on a Strangebird IIPA glass. (SRM 5-7)
Grapefruit is strong and countered by modest cattiness. Pine aromas follow late. The cattiness was not present in the fresh can, however, it was quite obvious one month later.
Earthy pine straw is set off against a background of grapefruit. The finish is long and filled with cut grass that slowly builds to become strong before quickly fading.
It has a full body and a texture similar to cotton balls. Alcohol is as expected. Carbonation is light yet coarse.
This is a good drinking beer that I enjoyed on a seasonably hot summer afternoon.
