Just added this beer to the database, but I'm going to review it too because I'm not a total sociopath. It's a grisette-subgenre saison basically.
Pours a kind of bright yellow color with plenty of what looks like spelt wheat shit going on, it ain't clear, nor is it supposed to be. 1/3" white head, not the biggest but good retention. The aroma dare I say has a niche that I don't recall existing before. So you take a belgian saison yeast I presume, cold condition it like a lager, but hop it with new proprietary hops like its an ipa. Its like smelling 2-3 different style beers at once, but no joke, it works and smelled interesting.
Taste was pretty nice. The belgian yeast was definitely pushing spice rack notes. The body has a pillowy wheat like levity and purpose. I was impressed how the yeast seemed to push a greater amount of the flavor than the pungent Moteuka hops.
This is only the second beer in the database for this brewery, but I'm intrigued to try more of their stuff after this unique beer.
