This beer is a collaboration between 7 Vidas brewery in Tacna, Peru and Raíces Brewing Company. A Helles Style Lager base, brewed with a portion of beechwood smoked malt and unmalted quinoa, this beer is amazingly balanced and easy to drink, but full of flavor. In the language of the indigenous people of the Andes region “Pachamama” means Earth Mother, referred to as a deity of fertility, planting and harvesting among other things. Pairs well with smoked cheese, smoked meats and unsmoked meats like lamb and pork roast among others. Cream cheese pastries are a good pairing dessert.

Crystal clear and golden body; nice carbonation density; thick head, white and frothy, very long-lasting. Subtle nose; lightly sweet malt with a touch of chili pepper in the background. The taste is light malt and more of a chili flavor than anything smokey. Medium-light body; crisp; mild alcohol dryness.
I am positive I got more of a smoke sensation with my pour at the brewery this past Sunday. For whatever reason, the crowler pour lacks any definitive smoke quality and more of a chili character. Kind of a head scratcher, to me. At first, I thought the two crowlers I ordered got mislabled (the second one being their imperial chili beer), but, no, that's not the case. Kind of wondering what happened to my 'taster' between Sunday and today.
ABV: 5%; pouring temperature: 56 °F; crowler date: 06-16-24
