473 mL can purchased at the brewpub; dated 2022/07/08 and served slightly chilled. Billed as a tropical fruited sour with mango, guava, pineapple, and curuba, aka banana passionfruit.
Pours a murky, pulpy tannish-yellow colour that looks pale caramel brown under the light. It's capped with nearly an inch of smooth, creamy white head that melts off steadily; within five minutes, it has been reduced to a tight collar and filmy cap, with a delicate smattering of messy lace tossed about in its wake. I'm definitely getting something vanilla-like on the nose, in addition to a muddled blend of mango, pineapple and guava (in that order). Smells sweet and maybe even a little syrupy, like a fruit cup.
This is one juicy sour - in fact, the sourness is relegated to more of a background role, as the sweeter fruit purée flavours largely dominate. Mango and banana at the forefront, with flavours of passionfruit, vanilla, pineapple and guava tagging along behind. Finishes with suggestions of mandarin orange slices in syrup, then more guava and mango dissipating into a mildly tart, fruity-sweet aftertaste. Full bodied and smooth - juicy throughout, then straight-up pulpy and coarse as you get to the bottom of the glass, getting dangerously close to 'smoothie' territory. In fact, I could see it being a turn-off for folks who don't care for pulp - luckily, I'm not one of them. I had no trouble whatsoever polishing off my glass, and could've gone for another, but I think I'll save the other can.
Final Grade: 4.12, an impressive A-. Fruited sours are not a style I seek out on purpose, but they're difficult for a ticker to avoid these days, especially during the summer months. A disappointing number of them are merely basic kettle sours augmented with fruit. This collaboration between Imperial City and Jackass Brewing in Cambridge, on the other hand, is one of the strongest efforts I've come across in quite some time - its fruit flavours pop beautifully and are completely authentic. Too bad Get Juiced is a one-off collab, because it's the best thing I've ever had from this brewpub.
