On tap at Walt Whitman Brewing in Saratoga, NY.
This one pours a crisp looking golden straw yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells quite floral and slightly fruity – almost wine-like, with some breadiness.
This has a really solid hop character to it, not too bitter or hop forward, but there’s definitely some nice New Zealand-ish flavors here – white wine, grape, and a nice zesty floral hop bitterness. There’s a touch of breadiness that help keep this somewhat balanced.
This is light bodied, clean, crisp, and very drinkable.
There’s a lot to like here, it went really well with Walt and Whitman’s excellent pizza.

billed as a dry hopped pils, i think they overdid this a little bit, its too hoppy to appeal to most pale lager drinkers, and they got a lot of bitterness out of the hops here, not that its harsh or anything, just that its more in the india pale lager space i think than any reasonable pils type. blonde and somewhat unassuming in the glass under a nice inch and a half of tight white head. the aroma is spicy, not sure what hops they used here but they present intense and high alpha right away, with some clean citrus, a little greenness, and some bitterness immediately apparent. the rest of the beer seems like a solid pils, tidy ferment, brisk and dry, and with a little breadiness to the grain, european enough to pass. a lot of that is obscured in the flavor though, its all hops, and its actually almost all on the back end where the lager elements are supposed to be more assertive. to its credit, its nice and fresh, but the bitterness runs through a lot of the more refreshing aspects of the base beer. lemon and grapefruit, some soapy character too, light lime, could be some southern hemisphere hops too, and an oily slickness thats left on the tongue a little bit. i dont dislike it, its bold, but its a little out of proportion and the drinkability is compromised. light green burn, rushing carbonation, lighter medium body, very subtle lager yeast taste is all. a weird recipe, not my favorite beer we had in here...
