Hallertau pils is brewed as an ode to the industrial German pilsners of the 50’s to the late 70’s when technology allowed more efficient processes, but the liquid was still brewed “the old way”. We use a double decoction mash, 100%
German Pilsner malt, and 100% German Hallertau Mittlefru hops.

On tap at Sud. Golden clear, puffy head. Bready, cereal flavors. Maybe a tad sweet. Clean and crisp, nice Hallertau bite. Solid.

16oz can sent my way by @jzeilinger
Poured into a Bonsai 9th Anniversary glass
P clear gold w/ a 2-3f foamy white head; lots of active carb; med-quick recession to small foamy cap
N med nose of zingy earthy and spice-like notes w/ a bready malt beneath; some onion/garlic-like presence in there as well
T light-med bready malt carries zingy earthy and herbal notes, w/ some candied character in there as well; finishes dry; herbal notes linger
Mf med-bodied w/ med to med-high carb; satisfying
O pretty solid- a pleasant, drinkable pilsner; vegetal, but not in a bad way; would have again given the opportunity; thanks, J!

Look: Bubbly pale yellow with three fingers of dense off white foam.
Smell: Floral and gently spicy. A little tickling pepper.
Taste: Crackers. Bread crusts. A little bit of sweetness and medium herby bitterness.
Feel: Light with moderately spritzy carb. Very refreshing.
Overall: Great. I see where they’re going to with the homage to Industrial Pilsners gone by. The parallels to something like Bitburger are there, but with more touch.

Decent lacing from a foamy pour. Gold color and not quite clear.
Soft and malty, similar to a Helles.
This is a smoother, rounder Pilsner. Full bodied with a lower carbonation. Relatively dry for the style.

A - Light medium gold colored pour with a thin creamy layer resting on top.
S - Crisp, crackery malt with some earthy citrus and floral. Overall, really nice.
T - Crisp crackery malt base gets quickly swept under with a nice wave of grassy earthy citrus and floral. Nice lingering juicy grassy floral bitterness on the back side.
M - Medium body with some prickly carbonation and a finish that is dry on top of the tongue but wet on the sides of the mouth.
O - Highly recommended.

Pours an effervescent gold/honey color with 3 fingers of cream-colored head. There's a bit of a haze to this beer, great head retention & lacing
S: Grassy, floral, bready, perfumy hops once warm; stellar nose
T: Follows the nose, a little dry & a little sweet, some peppery & citrus hops as well up front. Herbaceous hops, dryness, grassyness & lime as this beer warms up, bready sweetness as well. Finishes pretty dry, grassy with a touch of soapyness & lime as well
MF: Medium body, restrained carbonation, nice balance
Stellar take on the style, very drinkable

On tap at Human Robot Jenkintown in Jenkintown, PA.
This one pours a very clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells pleasantly herbal and floral, with some crackery malt character.
This has a wonderful spicy crispness to it – pepper, lavender, hay, and tea, with a crisp and not too sweet crackery malt character. It’s basically the dictionary definition of a well made pilsner.
This is clean, crisp, and extremely drinkable, and just real smooth all over.
This is a basically perfect flagship beer. Human Robot is super excellent.
