Czech-Style Pale Lager - Beautiful bready malt balanced with a kiss of floral spice. Brewed lovingly with German Pils malt and a smidgen of sweet Munich then hopped with Bohemia’s gift to the world Saaz hops

16oz can purchased from the fridge as a 4-pack for $16 directly from the brewery. Canned on 06/23/2025, so this is just over 6 months old.
Look: Pours a nice medium gold color with lively carbonation. Tinge of copper color. There was a rocky whitish head about a finger and half tall that eventually dissipated to a thin layer.
Smell: It smells very nice - very simple and clean, straightforward aroma and notes. Crispy, crackery malt base with floral, grassy, spicy, and peppery undertones. I get nice lemony and floral notes up front and a subtle fennel note on the finish. I get some skunky notes, which is common for these Czech style beers and I think that it works.
Taste: Really tasty. It's super easy-drinking. The flavors on the palate follow the nose. It's a very well balanced beer. The malt flavors have a nice presence, and the hoppy flavors also have a nice presence. The beer has a very mild hop bitterness on the finish. The grassy, peppery, and spicy notes come through. I do pick up on a bit of an anise note on the finish, which I detected on the nose as fennel.
Feel: Nice mouthfeel - it's crisp and clean. Light to medium bodied. Very easy drinking. Nicely carbonated.
The beer has decent body. It's light to medium bodied. Very crisp. Nicely carbonated. Highly drinkable.
Overall: It's a nice Czech Pale Lager, which I've had before at the brewery and now I get to drink it at home and review it. I've also had Human Robot's Most, which is another Czech Pale Lager, and that was very good. I'm trying to recall that beer and compare it with this one, and it's not so easy to do and translate how that reflects in the review scoring. I would say that the bottom line is that they are both tasty and each one is unique. Both are very nicely balanced beers. Unfortunately, Czech Pale Lager a style that is not so easily available in the United States. I think that more brewers have been choosing to brew this style lately, which is a good thing.

Fine amber tone with a touch of cloudiness; good carbonation; thick head, white and rocky, long-lasting. Nice cereal grain base aroma; ripe pome fruit note. Nice toasted grain base flavor; slight peppery note; slight nutty bitterness. Medium body; smooth with a rich residual sugar feel; warm.

Look: Poured from a Lukr faucet into a Tubinger mug, this lager is a crystal clear straw with a massive head of off-white, dense foam.
Smell: The aroma is biscuity with some lightly floral hops. Restrained.
Taste: Crackery malt. A little sweetness. Spicy and a little grassy. Very pleasant.
Feel: Creamier than you’d think given the light body.
Overall: Great. Quaffable.

From a 16oz can dated 06/23/2025 into a chilled mug.
Pours a slightly hazy light orangish yellow with about a half finger of white head which dissipates leaving a ring of foam around the edge of the glass. Decent lacing.
Muted aromas of straw, bread, black pepper and some floral notes.
Taste yields more than the nose. Spicy/peppery hops balanced nearly perfectly by bready, lightly sweet malts.
Medium-bodied with medium carbonation and a dryish finish.
Knocked down a bit by the lack of nose but everything else about this beer is near-perfect.

Had on side pull tap. See life is funny. This was the least hyped of the HR czech lagers, and yet it was the one I liked most! Mostly clear pale golden body with a large white head and tons of bands of lacing. Taste is bready in a light and fresh way, czech grassy hops, hint of honey dipped grain, biscuits, pale pressed flowers, and pilsner malt all combine for a remarkable drinking experience. Smell is more bready and now biscuit up front with the hops cutting through, leaving a hint of dough to the biscuit and bread. Feel is lush and full but not heavy at all, so smooth with great yeast and hop textures, yet the finish is crisp and clean ultimately. The mug of this went down so easily!

Quite foggy maize yellow with a tall white head that condenses to a persistent thickness.
Perfectly toasted corn nut meets an herbal hop balance with a round buzzing carbonation that comes to a semi-dry finish.
This one's good.

Pours a bright & effervescent gold with 3 fingers of whippy pearl colored head. Stays effervescent, great head retention & lacing
S: Bready sweetness/doughyness, some soapy & pefumy hops once warmed up
T: Follows the nose, a little grassyness & floral hops, plus a kiss of dryness up front. Dryness & grassyness as this beer warms up, floral hops as well, just a trace of lemon as well. Finishes sweet/bready with grassyness & floral hops, plus pronounced dryness
MF: Medium body, crisp carbonation, nice balance. Carbonation tamps down as this beer warms up
Easy to drink, great example of the style

On tap at Human Robot in Jenkintown, PA.
This one pours a clean golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells wonderfully bready and biscuity, with a floral and spicy hop character.
This is pretty much exactly what I want from this style – there’s a crackery and biscuity malt character, not too sweet, but nicely supportive. There’s a wonderful crispness to this, slightly peppery, slightly floral, like dandelions or fresh cut grass, it’s so inviting.
This is extremely drinkable, and super clean tasting, with a great smooth bite on the finish.
I don’t always talk like this, but this absolutely slaps. It’s a nearly perfect Czech pale lager, in my eyes.
