Pours a murky orange-tinted brown with a large tan head, served in a beautiful hefeweizen glass made just for it.
Banana, bubblegum, clove and just a hint of malt sweetness in the nose.
The taste follows, but with a flash of formaldehyde that thankfully diminishes over the course of the beer.
Soft mouthfeel appropriate to the style.
Not as mind-blowing as most of their lagers, but not bad for their first wheat beer. The flavors presents very much as a traditional European hefeweizen with a just-perceptible kiss of malt. Overall it’s quite refreshing.
