Munich-style Dunkel - Brewed from a base of Munich malt with a touch of farbmaltz for color. Rich velvety body fades into mellow sweetness with a drying finish. Fermentation, the “cold fire” of preservation has been practiced for millennia, a fitting theme for this ancient style of beer.

Poured an amber gold body with minimal head and lace down glass. Mild aroma that reminded me of herbal tea. Light body but slightly chewy/bready, dry “lagerness” well-balanced with a mild malty sweetness that is caramel/toffee and an herbal, spring-like hoppiness and crisp finish that works real well.

This one pours a slightly dark golden amber color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells toasty, slightly chocolatey, and slightly herbal.

This feels just about spot on for the style. There’s a slightly floral and almost tea-like bitterness, with a caramel, and brown breadiness. It’s not too sweet, not too bitter – just exceedingly well balanced all around.

This is light, crisp, but full on the palate, with a great drinkability.

I absolutely need to track down more Human Robot – the few things I’ve had from them have been dynamite, to say the least.

Dark amber with a huge tan head. Rocky dissipation and thick lacing. Dry malt, carbonation dioxide and a kiss of sweetness in the nose. The kiss of sweetness hits up front in the taste, followed by firm, earthy bitterness — strong English breakfast tea approaching coffee territory. Medium bodied with restrained carbonation. Nice, easy-drinking beer.
