Dark English Lager - Collaboration with Schilling. Based on historical brewing records from the UK in the post war era, we present: Publican’s lager. We started with Crisp malt’s Hana variety. Grown in the UK with seeds from Moravia, and floor malted at crisp malting. This rustic pilsner malt has a distinct grassy, hay like character which gels so well with continental hops. We cereal mashed flaked corn (also from crisp) to keep with the characteristics in historical brewing techniques of the time. The dark amber color is mainly achieved though the addition of dark kettle sugar. Hopped through with styrian goldings and Hallertau Mittlefru. While this beer has a nice malt backbone, generous hopping keeps it dry and refreshing.

Lightly foggy amber, darkening nearly to copper towards the top, where a giant khaki foam builds.
The nose has a bit of a ditch water and hair salon quality to it, but taste is more drinkable semi-bitter, nutty malt that's a bit drupey at times, but still herbal.
