EIRINA - 4.1% - Japanese Style Rice Lager - Dry and satisfying Japanese style rice lager. Brewed with a special Loxless barley from Prairie malt to preserve foam and flavor, and hopped with a domestic hop blend from Hopsteiner. We cereal mashed this beer with 34% rice, stepping up from cold and boiling to extract as much starch as possible, then blending with the barley malt to convert that starch to sugar. A small sulfate addition accentuates the hops and keeps the beer light, while the captured Co2 from fermentation naturally carbonates the beer, and holds on to crucial character from our house lager yeast. Eirina translates to sharp-a nod to the pouring style our tapsters use to serve this beer. Brewed in collaboration with Prairie malt and Hopsteiner.
