GELB MOND - 5% - German Style Pils - Named for Titan, the Yellow moon of saturn. Gelb Mond is a Northern German style Pilsner brewed with 100% Weyermann pilsner malt and a combination of Titan and Aurum hops. Titan supplies the IBU’s while Aurum gives mellow citrus and herbal aromas. A simple single decoction mash gives enough mouthfeel to stand up to the IBU’s, leaving a tight, dry finish. Collaboration with HVG and Brewer’s Supply Group.

Pale gold, mostly clear but for the faintest, softest suspension of haze, building a supple, short but finely condensed comforter of bright white head.

Toasty corn nuts meeting a drying, grassy bitterness through a fine carbonation with a hint of leafy herbs.

This beers produces a wonderful awakening sensation on the palate.

Slightly hazed, pale yellow-gold with a large, somewhat airy, near-white head. Restrained aroma of earthy hops and a hint of grain. The same carries to the taste with a dull, modest bitterness. Relatively full bodied feel. Comes across quite dull and flat to my taste — no pop nor crispness. I much preferred Sylt.

on draft at the Jenkintown location, in half liter glass

clear, medium golden in color, thick layer of white head. aroma is fairly mild - grainy and just a touch of earthy hops. similarly the taste is a little understated, not as dry or bitter as expected based on the description. thin to medium bodied.
