This hazy, citrusy juice-bomb delivers a tropical hop explosion whilst putting the brakes on bitterness. Our mid-west version of a New England IPA will have you running back for more.

At Gilligan's Restaurant on Walker Rd. in nearby Windsor; on tap and chilled, on a luncheon date with my lady Pamela. Oddly delicious and provocatively refreshing.

For a style that I usually don’t enjoy, this one is actually quite nice. It pours a murky nectarine nectar colour with a medium sized head. Tropical notes (grapefruit tangerine melon) on the nose. The taste is definitely juicy and hoppy and bittersweet.

473 ml can served cold into a tulip. LCBO purchase for about $3.50 CDN. Appears to be canned January 12, 2021. Listed at 5.7% ABV.
Appearance - Hazy dark golden color with a three quarter finger white head. Decent staying power than forms into a small soapy cap and some streaky lacing clings to the edges of the glass.
Smell - Big tropical notes of clementine, mango, a bit of pineapple and grapefruit to round things out. Good bready backbone.
Taste - Light and assertively fruity, pineapple, mango initially for a sweet push then grapefruit rolls in and finishes bitter. Good and fairly intense flavor.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, light and crisp carbonation, drinks lighter than many in the style, downright refreshing.
Overall - Very solid and well made NEIPA, I look forward to exploring more from this new brewery.

473 mL can from the LCBO; no packaging date, but I have no doubt that this is a reasonably fresh sample. Served barely chilled.
Pours turbid, muddy, and golden-apricot in colour, topped with an inch of soapy white head that crumbles within the next couple of minutes; a gorgeous sponge-print pattern of lace graces the glass in its wake. Other remnants include a frothy collar and some filmy wisps on the surface; looks good to me. Very citrusy on the nose, with plenty of O.J. (orange juiciness), in addition to hints of pink grapefruit, passion fruit and peach.
Its flavours are along the same lines - brimming with orange and grapefruit, as well as lesser notes of stone fruit, passion fruit and melon - but trending towards a slightly more floral, resiny bitterness towards the back end, which builds a little over the course of the glass. Medium-full in body, with moderately low carbonation levels that gently brush against the palate, contributing to its smooth, soft and generally satisfying mouthfeel. A very drinkable IPA - at 5.8%, it's relatively light for the style, but without seeming to sacrifice anything in terms of flavour, so it goes down the hatch effortlessly. Needless to say, I almost ran out of beer before I finished this review.
Final Grade: 4.19, an impressive A-. Sandwich Brewing's White Bronco is an outstanding offering for (what I am presuming to be) their premiere retail release. I mean, there are several Ontario craft breweries who have been around for 10-20 years longer than these guys, and still rarely manage to put out an IPA of this quality, so kudos are in order for such a strong first showing. Of course, depending on age and storage conditions, your experience may vary entirely, so it's best to just try this one as soon as you see it and report back.
