32 oz crowler. Opened one week after purchase.
Black and opaque with a big, frothy, tan head. Some brown can be seen around the edges in the light.
Chocolate dominates the aroma and flavor with notes of roasted malt and baked bread. Mild floral hops as well, but this is a malt-driven beer all the way. Well-round flavor and feel with a light bitterness in the finish. Ample body, likely a result of the oats. Medium bodied, smooth, and creamy.
Right in line with the other two beers I've had from Odd Bird, this was a really well executed beer that was true to style. Each beer has been full of flavor and character.
