On-tap @ Odd Bird Brewing in Stockton, NJ.
Enjoyed beneath the tent outdoors on a chilly and rainy Friday afternoon. Light amber pour with good clarity and a creamy white head. Mild aromas of freshly baked bread and nuts. Light floral and earthy Fuggles hops are the perfect counterpart to the Maris Otter malt. Soft and nuanced flavor that leans towards the malt.
Medium-light bodied. Very clean with a light malt sweetness. Too bad I had to drive home because I could have drank many in a row.
Unfortunately, this wasn't on cask when I visited (an Oatmeal Porter was, which was delicious in its own right). Would love to try it on the hand pump some time. Another stunning beer from NJ's best kept beer secret. Paired excellently with a charcuterie box from RSC Atlier right next door. It doesn't get much better than that.
