On cask @ Odd Bird Brewing in Stockton, NJ.
Oatmeal Porter mellowed in a cask with birch syrup to provide the natural carbonation.
Very dark brown, almost black, with a dense, creamy, tan head. Chocolate and roasted malt aroma with the flavor to match. Some earthy hops provide a firm bitterness, resulting in a bittersweet finish. Medium-full bodied and silky smooth thanks to both the oats and cask.
Overall, a smooth and roasty beer. A joy to drink on the hand pump.
