Thanks to FBarber for sending me this in NBS BIF #17.
Canned 03/27/23
Murky peach fuzz tinged gold in color. Bountiful, fluffy head asserts 2 fingers and slowly recedes to a light film. Clumpy lacing.
Aroma gives an initial pop of grass, alfalfa, pineapple, mango, and orange juice. A light, creamy sweetness comes through as well.
Taste is pure tropical joy. Pineapple, orange zest, mango, grass, and guava. The grass notes move from a green, wet, almost vegetal note to a hint of dry hay meets grain. Mildly astringent as well.
Light side of medium, tingly carbonation, with a somewhat pillowy mouthfeel. Finish is mildly bitter and drying with a hint of warming.
Overall, pretty dang good. The initial alfalfa and grass notes seemed like a bit of a misdirection, albeit pleasant, but the tropical ride still was fun.
